Background & Vision

The energy of Living Fountain is to nurture the gifts, talents, and lives of its students , teachers, friend s and company members. For nearly fifteen years the work of the director and a core group of professional dancers have been serving the needs of the arts community by offering classes, workshops and concerts. The mission of LFDC is to use dance and other art forms to explore social, ethical, and spiritual issues.
 
Why are you called Living Fountain?
We are on a mission to refresh artists so that they never thirst again. 
 
Water is irresistible.  Water goes over, under, around and through.  We bring life wherever we go and touch everyone we meet. Without water, a life source, we will die. A Living Fountain is a symbol of an energetic flowing stream of life that takes audience members into exhilarating places, one that rejuvenates dreams and explores the future. Our vision is to create a flowing supply of healthy and creative thinkers to our community.
 
Living Fountain's presence ripples beyond our city. Dancers are trained to accomplish small, medium, and large concerts & workshops and have toured to other cities, states, and, countries to share their passions through dance and arts performance and education.
 
Because we focus on building character in our students, we call this teaching technique "teaching dance from the inside out". The result will be that our students will graduate with vital skills as healthy citizens to live within and beyond our community. A hand full of those students may choose to continue with a career in dance.
