Old Carolina Barbeque
Fall Kick-Off
September 8, 2009 (Tuesday)

Please join us for a fundraiser and fall get together at Old Carolina Barbecue in Belden Village (4710 Everhard Road NW, Canton, OH 44718).
Come and enjoy food, music, and dancing! We look forward to seeing you there.
Friends and family are welcome to attend, so please spread the word. Living Fountain will receive a percentage of all sales during the evening.

Our Edgewood Community Center classes have moved to a new location:
Studio 62
At the corner of US 62 and California Avenue
This is such an exciting transition for us! We will be using space on the third floor of the facility. The room is very large, which will be an amazing blessing! The location is great because it is right off the highway and is easily accessible. This is an answer to prayer for LFDC! I am thrilled to see what the Lord will do in this new location.

Sabbatical Update . . . Classes will begin again in the Fall . . .
During this time of sabbatical for Living Fountain, we have really missed having dance classes for all ages. It has been a very important time for us to patiently wait on the Lord, as we received rest and listened to see where the Lord would lead the organization next. Thank you for your patience throughout this school year. We really appreciate all the students, parents, and audience members who are part of Living Fountain. WE MISS YOU! I am so excited to announce that we are planning to start back to our regular classes in the Fall. More information (with specific days, times, and locations) will be coming soon. Enrollment will begin in August.

The Living Fountain is pleased to announce the appointment of Mara Schwendiman to the position of Interim Artistic Director. Mara is well-qualified for this role, having received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Akron, and with extensive experience in both dance performance and instruction. "I am excited about this opportunity for Mara," states Kimberly Payne. "She has been interested in increasing her responsibilities for some time and this will allow her to expand her breadth of influence within the company."
For the past two years, Mara has served as the Living Fountain's Managing Director, and has provided dance instruction at multiple sites. Her experience also includes leads in the Artisan Dance Theatre and the Centro Pro Danza of Cuba, as well as corps experience with the Colorado Ballet.
Kimberly Payne will resign her role as Artistic Director, effective 1/1/08, but will continue to serve as a member of its Board of Directors. "This is a special time for the Living Fountain," stated Kimberly. "We have planted many seeds and are awaiting the fruit of our labor. There is so much talent within this organization and no limits to what can be achieved. Keep your eyes open for what's next!"

We wanted to inform you that we are rerouting the LFDC classes for the fall. After much prayer, the staff has come to the decision that the Lord is calling us to a year of sabatical. We want to stay refreshed and ready to do God's will. The Senior and Junior Company will continue to dance throughout the year. We look forward to seeing you at our concerts.
