Requirements

     
     
    Living Fountain Senior Dance Company is a core group of professional dancers with the heart, courage, and anointing to dance from the inside-out.  The company modern dance technique follows the Limon, Muller, Lana Heylock-Carroll family tree and is based on breathing.  Living Fountain has developed systems of facilitating the creation of concert dance through creative play and introspection.  Dancers are required to be teachable and open to training for the body, mind, and spirit.

    • Black cap and long-sleeve leotard
    • Nude camisole leotard
    • Black and classic pink convertible tights
    • Black wrap around skirt
    • Black jazz pants
    • Pink performance ready ballet slippers (shoes should be clean and neat from tears for upcoming performances)

Company Guidelines 
 
  • Purpose of Position: To gain knowledge about dancing from the inside-out, be a team player, and perform in LFDC concerts/events.
  • Reports to: Artistic Director
  • Responsible for:
    • Maintaining a healthy lifestyle and eating properly.
    • Being a good example to the younger LFDC dancers.
    • Cross training your body through other forms of exercise (i.e. working out at the gym, swimming, Pilates, etc.) at least 3 hours per week.
    • Continuing to stay dedicated to the Lord in your spiritual life.
  • Primary Strengths/Gifts/Talents Required:
    • Adequate dance background.
    • Teachable spirit.
    • Ability to communicate well.
    • Passion for dance.
    • Role Preference:
    • Dancer who seeks to develop his/her skills.
  • Time required by this position: 4 hours per week.
  • Continuing Responsibilities:
    • Keep overall perspective on company calendar of events.
    • Attend mandatory rehearsals (rehearsals are mandatory 2 weeks prior to an event or concert).
    • Maintain loyalty to LFDC by informing and obtaining approval from Artistic Director before dancing outside of an LFDC production.
